President of Senate Met with Team Thailand in Singapore

On Tuesday 19 January 2010 from 7.00 to 9.00 p.m., Professor Prasopsook Boondech, President of Senate, who was in Singapore to attend 18th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), paid a visit to the Royal Thai Embassy and met with Team Thailand in Singapore as well as representatives of the Thai community, namely the Thai Association (Singapore)’s President and Vice President.     Prof. Prasopsook was accompanied by the Thai delegation, comprising Senators and Members of Parliament, as well as officials of the Parliament, attending the APPF.

The exchange of views focused on bilateral trade and tourism and cooperation in various fields such as military, education and energy. Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool and Members of Team Thailand also briefed the visitors on the Embassy’s upcoming activities and projects, including the reconstruction of the Embassy’s buildings due to begin in May 2010.

Afterwards the Ambassador hosted dinner in honour of the Senate President and his delegation.
