Welcome to the Forum for Friends of Thailand!

Singapore and Thailand have long enjoyed a cordial relationship backdated. Since the 1800s when King Chulalongkorn the Great (King Rama V of Siam) visited Singapore, the state-to-state and people-to-people contacts have developed into a dome full of opportunities and growth for both countries.

In order to draw us, at the Royal Thai Embassy, closer to you, ‘Friends of Thailand’ has been set up as an online portal to keep our members informed of all the upcoming fun activities both in Singapore and in Thailand. Invitations to our activities and get-togethers, organized by the Embassy and/or our partners, are also made available for our members here.

Alongside with other interesting articles on Thai fine arts, shopping, cuisine and travel, members will be provided with insightful guides to allow you to find out more about Thailand. So, please do spend a few minutes to register and join our Forum today.

Thai Express voted as the most popular Thai restaurant among all the 35 Thai restaurants awarded with the "Thai Select" logo by the Thai Trade Office, Singapore.

Throughout  August 2009, the Thai Trade Office invited the public in Singapore to vote for their favourite restaurants, out of the total of 35 Thai restaurants that have been awarded with the "Thai Select" logo by the Thai Trade Office in Singapore.

8th Thai Festival

Our annual Thai Festival is here again for the eighth time and running.  Our special theme this year sees the ground of the Royal Thai Embassy being divided into four regions of Thailand (North, Northeast, South and Central) as we showcase more than 100 booths from all over Thailand, featuring cuisines, fruits, OTOP products, to name but a few.

Celebrations of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 77th Birthday on 12 August 2009

Queen Sirikit was born Momrajawongse Sirikit Kitiyakara on August 12, 1932, at the home of Lord Vongsanuprabhand, her maternal grandfather. She is the eldest daughter and the third child of Mom Chao Nakkhatra Mangkala Kitiyakara, the son of Prince Kitiyakara Voraluksana, Prince of Chunthaburi and Mom Luang Bua Sanitvongse. Her name was given by King Prajadhipok. Her name means the Greatness of Kitiyakara.
